Duffy Bookbindery is Ireland's oldest bindery and located in Dublin. Now in their fourth generation in the Trade, Bookbinding is a Duffy family tradition.

In the 1940's, Paddy Duffy, grandfather of proprietors Tom and Pat Duffy, was bindery overseer for one of the city's most famous publishers,
Alex Thom's of Glasnevin. Paddy's original Dollards Bookbinding apprenticeship was interrupted by his participation in the 1916 Rising with James Connolly's Irish Citizen Army. He only completed on his return from Frongoch internment camp.

A former president of the Irish Bookbinders and Allied Trade unions, Paddy's son Tommy Duffy and wife, Kathleen, set up the present company in 1970. Their sons, Tom and Pat are the current proprietors. Tom's wife Patricia, works alongside them with their son Tommy .
