Donegal Pens are in at Nora Nora and we love their story! Hand crafted in Co. Donegal by brothers, Ronan and Conor, their business was set up in 2010 when the boys were just 13 and 10. Getting local sponsors and with a ton of hard work, the talented McGarvey brothers are making gorgeous hand turned pens, made of native Irish woods, including Maple, Cherry, Oak, Beech, Ash, Yew, Laburnum and Bog Oak.
The Bog Oak is a rare timber excavated from deep underground, usually a by -product of turf cutting, or when bog land is drained for agricultural use.
